The Prodigal Daughter

I haven’t been blogging for the last couple of days because I started reading Jeffrey Archer’s The Prodigal Daughter. The Prodigal Daughter continues the saga of another book of Jeffrey Archer entitled Kane and Abel. I would have to say Kane and Abel is the best book I have ever read. I tend to buy books by authors so I was slow to getting to Jeffrey Archer. It was Dawn that introduced Kane and Abel to me. And she took a hell of a long time to find the book for me too. Then it was my mom that told me about The Prodigal Daughter. At that time was busy buying and reading all of Robert Ludlum’s books after I read his Janson Operative. I guess one day i would blog about those books after I re-read them. I loved John Grisham’s The Brethren so much I read it 4 times.

I can’t really say much about the book without spoiling it for you. Basically reading Kane and Abel and The Prodigal Daughter is like reading a biography of a persons life. Both books tell the story of two very powerful families in the span of about 60 years. However I didn’t feel The Prodigal Daughter was better than Kane and Abel. I feel Kane and Abel was slightly better compared to The Prodigal Daughter. I also read another book by Jeffrey Archer entitled Prisoner of Birth. I think it’s his latest book. That book was alright, but the ending was totally shit.

If you have too much time on your hands and you want to occupy yourself with something, get Kane and Abel and The Prodigal Daughter. You won’t want to put the book down.
