When I was 10 years old I joined this short story competition in school. We were given a few topics to write about and we had a day to prepare at home. A competition and they allowed us to prepare at home? Everybody would get their moms, dads, brothers and sisters to do it for them. Anyway I don’t know about the rest of the kids but being the lazy ass that I am, I didn’t prepare nothing. I went to the competition hall and we were given 2 hours to complete the story. I haven’t even decided on a story yet. Anyway as you have already guessed, I chose the topic “I Am A Pair of Shoes”. Spent the next hour thinking about what to write. Then I spent the 2nd hour writing it. And here it is.

I am a pair of shoes. I am a pair of new shoe. I am made from leather. And now I will tell you the story of my life.

Ones upon a time. I was in a shoe store. I had other friends too but all of them were bought by people. So I was the only leather shoe in the shop. I was lonely. then one day a man came into the shop and said do the shopkeeper. I want a leather shoe. So the shopkeeper took me to the man. And he bought me and paid the shopkeeper.

He wore me every day to work. He also washes me every week.

He took care of me very well till one day. I had a very big hole at the bottom of my heusl to bring me to the cobbler. The cobbler did all he can to cover up the hole. After one hour the man came back to the cobbler and took me home.

Ather one and a half years later the man could not wear me any wore. He left me in the shoe rack.

Ather few days later he threw we away in the river. And then no body saw me from that day on wards.

That is the end of my story.
